I Think I Love You
Men have the worst time saying "I Love You" even when they have bundles of affection for a particular lady. A careful

"I love her, I take care of her, I think the world of her, but I have never told her those three words; it just seems too awkward," that was Jimmie's response when I asked him how often he told his girlfriend "I Love You". They have been going out for close to six months, but those golden words have just never slipped out of his mouth.
Just like Jimmie, Benson shares the same sentiments. To him the worst moment is when his girlfriend insists on being told I Love You before hanging up the phone. "Who are you with... why are you scared of saying it... don't say ‘ME TOO,' tell me you love me!" she literally wrings the words out of the lad. Maybe an affirmation to anyone near him that he is spoken for.
It is baffling but not that much of a surprise. Men have always had a lukewarm relationship with these words. They will particularly hate saying the words "I love you" in front of their male friends. To women "I love you" are powerful words, to a man, it is just mind-numbing emotional stuff, that he prefers not to deal with, but he has to say "I love you" to satisfy a woman's needs. Saying these words is a huge step for some men. It means a lot more than simply expressing a feeling. For some it feels like a declaration of lifetime commitment.
To be fair to all, let us divide the guys into these four categories.
- Men that will say "I love you" just to please you, when they don't really mean it. These men are in most cases driven by lust and just want to ‘have a taste’ then bolt.
- Then there are men that will say "I love you" because they enjoy falling in love and letting the world know it. These men will say the words easily. Just like the Australian Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dog, this is a rare breed of humans.
- There are those men that won't say "I love you" because they can't say it with meaning. They are still confused if she is the one or are caught up between lust and love.
